For citizens reservations

FOR SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE BOOKINGS

The hotel and tourism sector in general has been suffering for years from the commissions charged by the partners of the major reservation centres (GAFA / OTA) and competition from rental platforms for furnished tourist accommodation (Airbnb, Abritel and others), which are causing shortages and sharp rises in rental prices.
The French, and especially seasonal workers, are finding it increasingly difficult to find accommodation at decent prices, and for these reasons we are struggling to recruit our seasonal workers.

The hoteliers have asked their partners, the tourism GAFAs Expedia Inc (Expedia, Egencia, Hotels.com, Trivago, Venere.com, Hotwire.com, Ratestogo, Hotelclub, Carsrental.com, Homeaway, Expedia affiliate Network) & Priceline Group (Booking.com, Priceline.com, Villas.com, Kayak, Agoda, Pricematch, rentalcars.com, BookingSuite) to reduce their commission by 5% per booking.

THEY HAVE STRICTLY REFUSED TO HELP THE HOTELIERS.

What you need to know:

18%: the average percentage of commission paid by a hotelier for each reservation made through these platforms, which can be as high as 25%.

400 million: the annual amount of commission paid by hoteliers to foreign accounts.

? Euros: how much of this 400 million is actually taxed in FRANCE? A concrete example: at Booking.com the VAT is 0 € on all invoices!

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO SAVE JOBS

  • STOP booking your professional or leisure stays on these platforms - THEY ARE NOT LESS CHEAPER
  • RESERVE LIVE (hotels official websites, e-mail, telephone) in hotels that create jobs, pay their taxes in FRANCE and need to invest permanently

THE HOTELIERS THANK YOU FOR YOUR CITIZEN RESERVATIONS.
